Ingredients
Cookies:
- 1 cup / 250 mL butter*, softened
- 1 ½ cups / 375 mL sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp / 10 mL Watkins All Natural Original Gourmet Baking Vanilla®
- 3 cups / 750 mL flour
- 2 ½ tsp / 12.5 mL Watkins Organic Cardamom
- ½ tsp / 2.5 mL baking powder
- ½ tsp / 2.5 mL baking soda
Cardamom Sugar:
- ½ cup / 125 mL sugar
- 1 tsp / 5 mL Watkins Organic Cardamom
Directions
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until well mixed. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cardamom, baking powder, and baking soda. Add flour mixture gradually into the wet ingredients to form a dough.
Chill at least 30 minutes. Form dough into balls and roll in cardamom sugar.
Bake about 8-10 minutes at 350°F / 180°C or until just starting to turn golden in color—do not overbake cookies.
*If using unsalted butter add 1/2 tsp / 2.5 mL salt to flour mixture.
